Part I International Art Exhibit
We will set up a multi-media exhibit to tour, nationally and internationally. We will establish a permanent display of the works in a museum, to continue to collect the art and culture by and about sex workers , and create a cyberspace art gallery/museum which will be accessible to anyone, anywhere at any time, who has a computer and access to the internet. The multi-media display will serve as an educational tool through which the many misconceptions and stereotypes about prostitutes, prostitution and other sex work can be dispelled.
The display can create economic alternatives and opportunities for the sex worker/artists to have their work viewed by a broad and international audience and perhaps secure an artists' manager or literary agent for the sex worker.
Part II. Forming our own publishing and production company
We will publish books such as poetry, anthologies, fiction and non-fiction written by and about sex workers, as well as art books which highlight the many works on exhibit in our international tour. We will create documentaries on sex work, by and of us, including the ICOP '97 conference and other previously recorded material, to make available through usual and appropriate distribution networks, including universities, libraries and commercial and non commercial television.
Part III. Providing educational and cultural services to the community & to sex workers
Depending upon the type of service, (see services offered) other (non-sex worker) recipients will not be required to pay for the benefits which would normally be available to the general public. Some services/ products will be provided at no cost to the recipient(s)
Some services/ products will be provided to the recipient(s) at cost (reimbursement of cost of manufacturing, printing, postage and handling)
Other services/products offered may be provided to non-sex worker recipients at full cost.
