THE INTERNATIONAL SEX WORKER FOUNDATION FOR ART, CULTURE, AND EDUCATION
Welcome to ISWFACE (pronounced ICE-FACE), the International Sex Worker Foundation for Art, Culture, and Education. Founded in 1997 by sex worker and activist Norma Jean Almodovar, we are a nonprofit organization designed by and for sex workers. We embrace all our allies, and aim to build a rich, vibrant community.
Our Mission
At ISWFACE, our mission is multi-faceted:
Artistic Support: We aim to create a thriving ecosystem where sex workers can fully engage in their artistic endeavors. Whether you are a visual artist, writer, musician, or any other type of creative, we offer support and resources to help you succeed.
Education: We strive to educate both sex workers and the general public about the realities and nuances of sex work. Our goal is to dismantle stigmas and advocate for sex worker rights through well-rounded, factual education. Additionally, we hope to eventually provide scholarships for sex workers pursuing their educations.
Community Building: We believe that a strong, supportive community is essential for the well-being and success of sex workers. Based in Las Vegas, we aim to build and fortify a community not just locally but also globally.
How We Operate
Currently, our organization is led by a dedicated team of volunteers who are committed to the mission of ISWFACE. Each member brings their own set of skills and experiences, forming a collaborative, dynamic team that continuously strives to serve the needs of the artistic sex worker community.
